Why do we need to communicate effectively?
The lack of effective communication may be holding us
back from contributing our best at work with colleagues and superiors
and in our personal lives with friends and relatives. It can lead
to miscommunication, discontentment and low morale, which result in loss
of productivity and profits. It can even cause ill-health due to stress
and strain, which can lead to further loss of productivity and profits
because of the resulting medical leave and medical costs involved.
How do we know when our communication is effective or
successful? Communication is successful when we get the results we
want. If we are not getting the results we want, then our
communication is unsuccessful.
The responsibility for making communication successful
depends on us, not on the other party, because we want the results,
whilst the other party may or may not want the same results.
All communication starts with ourselves, as in every
way we communicate with ourselves, we can’t help but communicate the same
to others.
If what and how we are communicate with ourselves is not
giving us the results we want, it is likely that it is not giving us
the results we want with others.
You are probably already communicating successfully in many
areas but would like help in improving in
one or two areas.
Our 2-day course will help you do this.
Since all communication is self-communication first, we first
need to transform or change our personal communication before we
can transform or change our communication with others. When we transform
our communication with ourselves, our communication with others is also transformed.
What is personal communication transformation?
It is simply changing the way we think, feel and act to get
the successful results we want, in every relationship, and in every
situation.
Our course provides empowering concepts and principles,
emotional intelligence skills and a way to communicate from a centred
position.
When we communicate from a centred position or from the
heart, we set the stage for successful communication that is: we
easily connect and build rapport with others, who then become willing to
listen to us and accept our communications.
